East Dundee Sheep Bleat in Protest

East Dundee trustees will vote Monday on two ordinances drafted following public outcry over the sale of firearms at a downtown business.

Trustees asked staff to draft the ordinances last month after residents complained about a sign with a photo of a handgun displayed in the window of owner Mike Catinella's M-M Sporting Goods, 215 Barrington Ave., in the historic area of downtown. The sign has been removed, but talk continues about what kind of image village leaders want for the historic downtown business district.

And Lord knows firearms have no place in our nation's history!

One can only wonder what other expressions of free speech the sheep will ask the wolves to outlaw. For their own peace of [mind?], of course.

Looks like their first attempt to quash this guy's business didn't work, so they're just continuing the harassment.

Doesn't the East Dundee municipal code have anything to say about farm animals wandering untended in a business zone?

At first glance, I had thought this an article about a shop in Australia or some other colony of the crown. Then I thought, well I'll go ahead and read it anyway. And what do you know. Right here in good ol' Amerika!

Amazing, really it is. That a people can become so dumbed down in just a few generations. Common sense? Dead. Instinct of Self-Preservation? Almost dead.

The stage is just about completely set for the introduction of total tyrannical rule. And here we thought we had beaten communism! But the socialists will soon pull their masks off and it's; surprise, suprise comrade! We told you that we'd take over, didn't we?!

Problem is the tyranny may be Islam which, come to think of it, is another name for communism sort of. I'm a fraid the socialists may get more than they bargain for when we defenders of the Second Amendment aren't there to get their fat out of the burkas they'll be a-wearin'.

This is what I consider to be the most damning parts of this news article:

"I think most of the issue here with the ... downtown business district is what do we want down here in this ... historic district," Commissioner Tony Poynor said. "Do we want guns? Well, unfortunately, we can't change this for [Catinella]. That's not going to change. But can we change it for the future? That's how I look at this."

The Police Department will examine the store's security system and nighttime firearms storage, officials said.

Not only are these fascists trying to control what can and can't be sold, based on what *they* want, they're siccing the cops on the poor bastard to boot!

Where is East Dundee, anyway?

Does E. Dundee want to be known for rape and prostitution and the spread of venereal disease? Do they want to be known as cesspool of infection? Do they want to be known as haven and workplace for violent criminals?

What is the connection one may ask to the above questions and the story about their precious image of downtown historic E. Dundee.

Well, let's see. In order, firstly, all the males on the town council have or can logically be expected to have penises, hence, absent some public repudiation of the presence of penises, it is entirely safe to assume that visitors will assume rape to be a town pasttime, using their own logic. The women council members all have or can logically be assumed to have vaginas, the same circumstances apply to them if they are to protect the town's image from the hoary spectre of rampant prostitution. And of course either unrefuted activity can spread venereal disease. Where oh where are the citizens demanding the people address these image destroyers?

Secondly, are there no pharmacies or medical facilities anywhere in the town? If there are, mightn't visitors draw the conclusion that
the town is a cesspool of infection? Surely the council would want to ensure that in the interest of image, all future medical activities are limited and eventually phased out. Medical care isn't even a constitutional right. Where oh where are all the image conscious interrogators of the town council?

Thirdly, the police department is a visible reminder that crime is a fact of life in the town. Is that really the image they want to project? I think not. Will they disband the police department, who by the way CARRY guns downtown, in the interest of image? Where oh where are the consistent defenders of image?

Surely now, we can see the logic. It is absolutely unavoidable that in order to project the desired image and regulate reasonable restrictions, in addition to limiting rights under the second amendment, these people will also curtail mere privileges of medical care, and policing. As for the natural affliction regarding town council genitals they may want to avail themselves of a surgical solutions prior to shutting down medical care, or not. I have a rusty churchkey I would lend them.
