"It Doesn't Concern Us at All"

In 1991, Celester left a deputy superintendent post with the Boston Police Department to become head of the Newark police. His post ended in disaster, Celester pleading guilty in 1996 to three counts of fraud - including the diversion of police narcotics investigation funds and taking illicit donations from police subordinates at an anniversary party. Celester was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in federal prison.

"It doesn't concern us at all," said Boston ROOT spokesman Leonard Lee of Celester's history.
No, of course it doesn't. Criminal thugs for gun control and problematic "Only Ones" are nothing new. Hell, I'll be surprised if Boston doesn't give him a million dollars or so.

How 'bout that, though--a "prohibited person" wants to disarm me and you--and urban government sides with him.

How long we will tolerate rule by criminals is an interesting thing to think about, don't you think? It certainly makes some look even more cowardly and despicable...

Maybe Professor Riley should look for a ROOT chapter near Lewisburg, PA--it sounds as if they aren't too proud to acknowledge anybody.

I had to laugh out loud after reading this article.

For some reason the line from Casablanca came to mind

Captain Renault: I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here! [a croupier hands Renault a pile of money] Croupier: Your winnings, sir. ...

How sadly comical that people are shocked by the behavior of those that think they are our betters, they're entitled don't-cha know?
