NRA on Red's

Among them--and certainly the most outspoken, through owner Ryan Horsley’s widely read blog on the Internet--is Red’s Trading Post in Twin Falls, Idaho. Red’s has been a family business since 1936, which makes it Idaho’s oldest gun store. After giving Red’s a clean bill of health in a 2000 inspection, BATFE found record-keeping errors in 2005, and began proceedings to revoke Red’s federal firearms license (FFL) in 2006.
Ryan's plight gets some wider exposure.

Maybe I missed it along the way. Has the NRA done anything to help Red's directly? What about other FFL's or manufacturers? Have they been involved in individual cases? Or, is that something that they don't do?

It would seem that if they did that it would be something that would help their membership directly.

Red's blog hasn't been updated for several days, since the judge took the case under advisement.

Is everything okay out there?

Anon--NRA has a civil rights defense fund. To my knowledge they have not made it available to Red's case. I know their radio guy, Cam (senility blanking out on last name right now) has interviewed Ryan, and NRA has linked to news stories involving Red's, but to my knowledge they haven't been doing that much original reporting on it until now. Let's hope they perceive a benefit to being involved from this point on.

I have wonedered where the NRA has been on both this case and the CavArms case. They wonder why they lose supporters as they keep throwing people to the wolves.

I agree Gregg. Not to mention that they have called me consecutively now for 35 days in a row.

I stopped taking the calls after speaking to someone different after the first 3 times.

I was a member and gave nice sums during Clintons reign and the first term of our current "leader"

Now that money goes to individuals who need it to defend themselves against the tyrants. You know who they are.....

Cam Edwards is the name.

That NRA hasn't helped Red's via the legal defense fund is a failure on NRA's part. Even Fudds have to buy their stuff someplace.
