I got an RSVP!
And y'all know what a party animal I am.
I haven't had this much fun since I got that invitation from Marshal Dave! (I only wish I had time to compose another WarOnGuns Bite-Me-Gram). Maybe Deputy Reyna can arrange for a local visit...?
Naturally, I'll be pleased to post future correspondence.
I wonder if this guy realizes I'm actually chuckling as I type this?

Damn, I clicked every link and read every word. Your a damn fine writer and ally.
If you haven't done so already, you need to write a book inbetween range visits.
Hat tip, head bob and full bow.
I got the same response.
Here in Texas, a lot of the LEOs got a pretty arrogant attitude. Like the one from my county who got caught two yrs ago, hooking up with a woman on the net(trap) who promised to meet him in Wichita Falls for sex with her 8 yr old daughter. You'd think a 56 yr old father of 3 would be a little more ..... moral. None of these bastards impresses me as being of high moral fiber. The Constables, least of all.
"Question" (?) the "authorities" and get a veiled threat. Nice aren't they.
Kaveman-thank you kindly. Actually, I need to get in a range visit.
DJK-if you haven't responded yet, you could send him a link to this new post along with an invitation to say "Howdy" to some admirers.
Sean-I'm gathering that in re attitude, but based on the "Only Ones" files wouldn't limit it to TX.
Kent-I must have missed the "veiled" part.
The only way they could make an issue of this is to say you are keeping him from doing his work. That would be a reach but the deal is he can waste all the taxpayers money he wants and waste more in a lawsuit in the end run.
Reading this cop's email to you shows a man who wants to sound like some kind of bad ass whom is full of himself. What a dipshit.
You have the coolest parties!
Any day the sumbitch really wants to "pay you a visit" I'd drop everything and take your 6. These talentless amateurs *must* speak with bravado because they simply cannot be that stupid to believe that they'd have a snowballs chance in hell against serious men who've been there done that. This is pissing me off.

Gus is either trying to be funny or is too stupid to pour piss out of a boot with instructions on the heel.
I'd venture that he's not trying to be funny. The tone of his message indicates that he doesn't have much of a sense of humor.
I'd like to see ANY other case where some non-Only One drunk, shooting celebratory gunfire into the air - and who was subsequently CAUGHT in the act - didn't even have his gun CONFISCATED by the Only Ones.
Please, Gus, supply us with just ONE single case citation.
Oh, and please save the local taxpayers some money, and belay the alleged "investigation."
We already know how that will turn out.
is too stupid to pour piss out of a boot with instructions on the heel.
I've never heard that one before and not only does it fit this situation but I can see myself using it down the road. Some people have an excellent way with words, LOL!
Texas constables were constituted to serve court papers. Now that lots of others do that at less cost they've gotten into the 'patrol' business and try to enlarge their bailiwicks every time the lege comes into session. These pinheads ought to be stripped of their badges and the voters in that county ought to have a shot at eliminating the office...not that that would happen but we did get rid of the hide inspectors a couple of years ago.
The way I heard it. "Couldn't pour piss out of a boot with the directions on the heel upside down!"
But it's all right, he's resigning.
"In exchange for his resignation, the district attorney's office will not file criminal charges against Maldonado pertaining to an October incident in which he let a friend fire his county issue weapon."
"Authorities said Maldonado was also intoxicated at the time of the incident, which occurred outside a residence in San Benito." ...
"However, if Maldonado fails to fulfill his obligation, the district attorney's office will follow through with criminal charges of deadly conduct and public intoxication, Villalobos said."
'Equal protection' my a$$.
