Including a new addition, the 35,000-square-foot building will offer 12 pistol ranges, five 100-yard rifle ranges and an 11,000-square-foot space for a game similar to paintball, but without the mess....
Still, the project has triggered concern from neighbors.
Before the county Board of Adjustments and Appeals approved the project in January, about 100 residents signed a petition opposing it, said Rob Hansen, who lives nearby. He worries about accidents in the parking lot.
"I don't want a gun range, even if it's indoors, 300 feet from my back door," he said. "It only takes one accident, and I don't want that to be my kids."
In other words, if you don't have legitimate concerns, invent some. And make sure they're as hysterical as you can make them sound, to ensure the press repeating them.
