Bill Schneider Responds

Yesterday, I posted about an outdoors writer allowing himself to be courted by the American Hunters and Shooters Association. He replied to the numerous comments on the New West website:
Guns sure are a touchy subject, and I suppose I should follow up this article...Yes, we can't hunt without guns, but likewise, we can't hunt without game...
It sounds like he still puts "sport" on one side of the scales and "rights" on the other, as if they somehow have comparable weight. Besides, it's a false alternative to claim you can't have both. Freedom produces more...

Money quote here:
"I suppose AHSA could be a front for some hidden agenda, but they are saying the right things. "

And THAT, gentle readers is the point!

AHSA is an organization designed to mislead. Say the right things, give a "gun owning" face to democrats, "we come in peace".

Pul-eeze!

Nobody falls for that line of crap (we're here to help, we come in peace...)in the movies, we sure won't fall for it in real life; and SHAME on Bill Schneider for being SOOO gulible.

As I've said before they are sheep in wolves clothing.

Baaa!

I'm not so sure Bill Schneider "fell" for anything. The nature of his response to our comments belies the fact that he doesn't mind the AHSA's anti gun agenda. He cares about conservation, and that's it. Like them, he's pretending to be pro-gun.
