Good God. How can replica guns that don't fire any projectiles be called a weapon? Please call them what they are...TOYS!!! Complete insanity.
It makes sense from the State's point of view.
Owning replica firearms profiles a person as a "gun nut" ... a firearms enthusiast. The State does not want firearms enthusiasts as cops.
They want control freaks ... and firearms are merely a tool to be used to control people in the eyes of such control freaks.
Which is why so many cops do such stupid things with firearms, and generally can't hit the broadside of a barn ... they aren't enthusiasts, so they either treat their issue arm as a tool, like a flash light, or they treat it like some kind of magic wand of obedience ... which guarantees an eventual ND.
