Hide and Seek

COPS have vowed to hunt down gun crooks who hide deadly weapons in public.

Faced with a mandatory five-year jail term for carrying guns, crooks are instead stashing them in communal areas on estates - within easy reach of kids.
Sounds like the concept of "community guns" has made its way across the pond. And for all the hoopla, hysteria, and expense, it sounds like all the hapless bobbies have found is one BB gun ("capable of firing pellets that could blind a child"!!!)

And horrors! Who among us would ever intentionally damage a public surveillance camera?

"One such gun, thankfully a replica but still capable of firing pellets that could blind a child, was found this week hidden in a electrical cupboard near where youngsters play with their mums."

A BB gun merits a large police sweep, but "electrical cupboards" are regarded as harmless to children.
BB guns are politically incorrect in the Mad Hatter Isles, and thus are cause for alarm, while electrocution, though fatal, is politically neutral, and thus merits no concern.
