Quixotic as it may be right now, I propose that we begin thinking about invoking the Constitution's Article V and repeal the Second Amendment.Right, Tommy.
But I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the prescience of the Founders. They anticipated a threat to Liberty from within as well as without. The Second Amendment was designed to deal with both.

"No matter how many emotional appeals to stop the violence -- like the somber ringing of a bell 80 times at a vigil in Richmond last January to mark the 80 deaths of Virginia children by gun violence in 2005"
Do they ring the bell thousands of times for kids who drown in swimming pools each year? Or for the thousands who die in car crashes? Or the hundreds that die by the hands of abusive parents?
Or do children's deaths only matter when you can score points off of them?
What a sick, sick man.
Go ahead, Tommy, try to repeal the 2A! Make my day!
You have got to give those Roanoke Times folks credit. They are at least consistent.
Virginia has had great success in going after the illegal use of guns.
But no amount of success in reducing the illegal use of guns will suit the Roanoke Times. They are still convinced that more gun control equates to less gun violence. A position that is contradicted by the realities of places like NYC, Washington DC, and Chicago.
How about we repeal his mother's decision to not have an abortion?
