The Single Biggest Problem

"We know what happens in Dade County will affect what happens in Broward County," Jenne said. "The single biggest problem in South Florida is the rise in the use of AKs."
Actually, it sounds like the single biggest problem is Dade County has a liar for a sheriff when it comes to talking to the media about militia-suitable arms.

But I guess blaming a class of weapons he'd like to see you and me criminalized for owning is easier than tackling the real issues, plus it guarantees an enthusiastic cheerleading squad and plenty of free publicity from the "authorized journalists."

So Mr. Acosta says,
"We have to put a stop to this! What to do? It is already against the law for them to murder, have ANY guns, use guns in commission of a felony, do any of that gang stuff. It's too hard to stop them from doing any those things; what's left? I GOT IT! Let's blame the AK47's and ban the law-abiding fools, er -- citizens, from having them. After all, we won't be able to stop the gang bangers from getting all the guns they want, but we'll look good if we make like we are doing something to control the bangers, even if it is bull shit!"

"Brilliant!" said the colluding journalist, "We'll put the spin on it to make the unwashed minions buy it & swallow it too!"

Don't believe it? Look closer. What has Acosta actually proposed that would control the gang bangers? Instead, he might as well propose "fork control".
