The results of last week's poll are presented below (click on image to enlarge). It was actually going neck-and-neck until some new traffic started coming to the site, so I guess that means WarOnGuns frequenters are a tad more radical than most gun activists, which gives me cause for hope.

I voted that it is, "A dangerously mistaken idea that has established irrevocable precedent allowing for infringement of RKBA."
You can attribute that to the fact that I live in the land of the unfree...Illinois.

BTW, since the Governor reduced the number of people used to process applications for the FOID, instead of the mandated 30 day turnaround, cards are taking 6-8 weeks. When asked what will happen when our current cards expire without the new one arriving, we were told that the police probably would not arrest us. Hmmmmm. I'm not very fond of the legal term, probably.

In my case, the my answer to the question of "Would you carry on a 'No Guns' campus" isn't hypothetical--I do carry on such a campus on a daily basis, and have done so for close to two years now.
So far, oddly enough, I've yet to need to work very hard to suppress the urge to go on a murderous rampage.
I carried illegally on college campuses I attended, where it has been prohibited where I worked, and on customer sites such as Motorola and Apple that prohibit carry even though concealed carry is legal in Texas unless posted otherwise. Still haven't gone on a murder rampage. Nobody ever noticed either.
Luckily, never had the need to do anything but better to have a tool you don't need than not have one you need. You rarely get flats with modern tires but people still carry tires tools and spares in their cars, don't they?
I didn't vote because I couldn't distinguish one being better than the other. I would rather every state be as Vermont and Alaska, but I'm not holdng my breath. As long as it's shall issue, and they don't make up excuses to deny, permits can be used as a stepping stone to true 2A concealed carry. Yet, we could be stalled at a "precedent that would be difficult to overturn, so I was stuck as to which way to vote.
I don't believe in asking permission to exercise my rights. Having said that, you know which way I voted.
As a disabled Gulf War vet, I came back to the US and began attending school so that I create a better life for my wife and myself. I refuse to be rendered helpless by a rule that only disarms an honest person. Most of my classmates and professors know that I carry, and have informed me that they feel safer having me, as an armed individual, in the classroom with them. Since the Virginia shootings, this has been reaffirmed by all.
This question is not a hypothetical for me either. Fortunately, I have no problem violating stupid immoral laws.
I don't know what I would do if it was a law issue. The University I work at (in engineering dept) has a policy against carry. I've carried for several years, quite legal, but violations of policy can get me fired. I've got a "policy" too, 'ignore policies that are anti-rights or that affect my safety or my students' safety.'
