Nearly six months have passed since a Gilbert SWAT team raided the house of an elderly Phoenix couple and started a fire that destroyed the family's home and killed their dog...It sounds like the Gilbert police having guns may result in forcing the citizens to implement safety precautions.
Gilbert police said that Salvador's decision to arm himself with a gun forced them to implement safety precautions that prevented them from putting the fire out.
Equally as outrageous and disturbing as this story are the disgusting comments offered by some of our police state-worshipping countrymen.

The commenter, Steve, who keeps repeating "just do what you're told" is discusting. Our Constitution is intended to make sure the government does what it is told, but these days our country has it exactly backwards.
The more of a handout/welfare state we become, the worse it will get. This year we crossed over the threshhold where more than 50% of the taxfilers receive more from government than they pay in. Once people realize that they can vote more benefits to themselves (and the add'l government growth required), were done.
