Then don't own one. Just keep your opinions away from my guns.
One other thing: since you obviously don't value your life enough to invest what it takes to become responsible, don't expect anyone else to risk his or her life saving it.

Kids are too curious and too stupid to be in the house with a locked-up gun, but leaving them in charge of even younger children makes sense.
Because if you can't be trusted with an inanimate object that's been rendered non-functional, you're clearly qualified to keep a child safe with no help.
