"A Good Listen"

That's how WarOnGuns correspondent HZ describes this interview featuring IllinoisCarry.com spokeswoman Valinda Rowe.

I haven't had a chance to hear it yet, but I have a lot of confidence in HZ's opinion and will get to it as soon as I can pay proper attention.

She's a good speaker for the cause. She sounds very calm and intelligent, and keeps emphasizing self defense, uses the word firearm almost exclusively when talking about a gun, and does a good job holding up the authorities to ridicule. She talked about how the Ill. Highway Patrol wanted women to use a rat tail comb to fight back with, when the murdering career criminal in the store shooting weighed 250 lbs and had a gun. I especially liked it when she further emphasized that women need something more. I think this will appeal to womens' common sense and outrage that they are made victims by sloth and bureaucratic rubbish. She has one of those small quiet voices that could be anyones' Mom or sister, or wife. An excellent spokeswoman.

We are very lucky to have Valinda here in Illinois. She also provides training for women (both handguns and "scary" black rifles). This video clip is more of her work.

Here's a bit more on the ridiculous recommendations issued by the Illinois State Police.
