Police arrested a 28-year-old man Sunday on a cruelty to animals charge after he yelled an obscenity at a police dog in a patrol vehicle, according to an arrest affidavit.
I'm surprised they didn't tack on a hate crime charge against a Canine American. I pray with counseling the depression and psychological scarring will heal over time.

I'm laughing because we know the name of the perpetrator, but not the name of the police dog. What are the Authorized Journalists afraid of, someone looking up the dog's name in the phone book?
I'm thinking the arrestee must have said something derogatory about the dog's mother, not realizing both officers had the same mother.

Markie Marxist sez: "Of course. A canine agent of the state is still an agent of the state, and therefore entitled to the utmost respect. Privately owned dogs however, like private gun owners, are a threat to the authority of the state and should be killed whenever possible, if for no other reason than to assert the authority of the state."
Markie Marxist sez: "I forgot to mention that it's just common sense Marxism."
