Gun Control organizations, The Brady Campaign and IACP are now joined by F-Rated Senators...to attempt to close the so called Gun Show loophole. Acting ATF Director Michael J. Sullivan said President Bush has indicated he would support a measure in Congress to close that loophole. Not the "Vote Freedom First President"!
I think NRA's refusal to take a stand on opposing Sullivan is typical and unsurprising. Access über alles, after all.
Ryan also tells us he'll be chatting tonight with Michael Dukes, as will I. Ryan will be on at 6:00 PM MST, and I'll be on at 9:00 PM EST, and Michael's show starts at 5:00 PM AST, so I think this may involve time travel.

The "Robbery Victim Loophole"? They're already working on it!! Haven't you heard about the requirement for robbery victims to report thefts of firearms within 72 hours? (I forget just what state...PA?)
Uh...yeah...Schism...I...have...indeed.
Welcome to the War on Guns. Stick around, you'll find we're on top of a lot of things.
Speaking of the "robbery victim loophole," have you checked out H.R. 4818? It would establish another federal database, this one of stolen guns, and require every FFL holder to check that database, every time they acquire a used gun.
By the way, David--I spaced out and missed all but the last few minutes of Ryan's appearance on the show, and then my internet connection went haywire, causing me to miss the last half-hour of yours (but what I heard was great).
I don't suppose anyone has the audio saved somewhere, does someone?
Michael is working on getting his shows up on his site. I don't know how much time it will take, but he'll let me know when they're up and I'll make sure to do a post.
Great! Thanks, David.
