At Long Last Peace!

The Border GovernorsConference announced a significant partnership to stop the flow of illegal guns into Mexico by utilizing the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) programs called Project Gunrunner and eTrace.

Hey, problem solved!

Another source of income for the ATF, and it will be untraceable and unreported.

I will bet you we don't see any ATF agents doing dynamic "no-knock" raids in Ciudad Juarez with their new allies. Any takers?

I mean Hell, there are still kittens to stomp on in their own country and they are armed.

aren't armed.

First, there was Project RUMrunner.
Prohibition in the '20s and '30s gave us The Mob. The price of beer and liquor went from a few dollars to time in prison. People had to associate with hard criminals to get it. How familiar.
But this conspiracy of dunces wants to blame the legitimate business owner who sold a gun, and then that buyer traded it LEGALLY, and that buyer sold it to someone LEGALLY, and THAT buyer traded it to a prohibited person.
Guns are special. Nothing else comes close.

If they had announced that all the goons currently assigned to assault FFLs because of paperwork errors would be used for this, I'd feel a whole lot better.

I'm reminded of the words of Edward Abbey:

"stop every campesino at our southern border, give him a handgun, a good rifle, and a case of ammunition, and send him home. He will know what to do with our gifts and good wishes. The people know who their enemies are."
