A Mayor Against Guns

Shortly after Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick wakes up in jail this morning -- still reeling from becoming the first sitting mayor in Detroit's 307-year history to spend a night behind bars -- Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox is expected to charge him with felony assault.

I know it's not kind or mature, but permit me my Nelson Muntz moment.

You are forgiven for your Nelson Moment. But for future reference, the more refined, restrained, and lawyerly reaction is along the lines of:

BUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!

He had to do all that before a judge summoned the guts to do anything about it? Guess it does pay to be one of the "only ones". Some in Detroit are upset because The Mayor is in jail. I'm pissed because a lot more like him in gov't are still running around loose, persecuting honest citizens.

Assaulting a police officer?

Who does this bastard think he is, Cynthia McKinney?

Update August 12: Kilpatrick violated his bond AGAIN by spending time with his sister over the weekend. She's a witness.
If one of us did it it would be attempting to influence a witness, which is as bad as or worse than assault, in the tiny minds of judges. Trespassing on THEIR turf.
