We're the Only Ones Hanging Up Enough

Cop Answering 911 Call Won't Send Ambulance; Decides Instead to Chastise Freaked-Out Caller for Her "Filthy Mouth"

And then, after he finally sent an ambulance... he showed up to arrest her, for "abuse of 911," a charge that the report says doesn't even exist.

Oh-- and he hung up on her twice without getting her information. He called the ambulance only after the third time she'd called, after wasting six minutes. [More]
So naturally, "Only One" management "argues they're right to resist firing" Sgt. Robert McFarland. He just needs training, because how else would someone who does this for a living know that you're not supposed to hang up on callers during life-and-death emergencies?

Obviously, he should have been fired.

Does anyone else remember when the slogan for police departments was "To Protect and Serve"?

This department does not get it. They are supposed to protect and serve the public, not themselves.

my email to the chief of police in Lincoln Park, Mi.:

I viewed the tape of the story on McFarland's intentional mishandling of a 911 call.
Simply put, you need to send the man down the road. Ideally his certification would be rescinded also.

He is a moral coward for sure, he wouldn't even own what he did. He misrepresented why he didn't have the information he should have had to both the ambulance provider and other officers. He ran like a little girl from the newsman.

He is a bully. He would let someone die if he isn't addressed in a manner that makes him feel good about himself. Ask yourself this, Chief, what would he do face to face to someone who displeased him and him likely the only one armed at the scene. Can you afford to keep him?

Further he arrests the girl on charges that don't exist. Can you really afford this dishonest piece of cowardly bully-boy crap on your force? I think not, but for damn sure, your city can't afford him on the force.

If you do a google search on Robert McFarland and Lincoln Park and police, you will find other interesting adventures of Sgt. Spanky. A special ed student had a GameBoy. Police were brought in when he wouldn't give it to teacher. McFarland Tasered him after a tussle. Got the department sued. That's probably why he's piloting a desk. The exact WRONG desk.

my second email to the chief:

I didn't receive a response. Could it be you are as chickenshit as McFarland?

It's a suburb of Detroit.

Motto is something like "Providing the urban lifestyle of the future with the sensibilities of the past."
Yeah, the FEUDAL past.
Don't peon me and tell me it's raining.
SALUTE to Mr. Arrow!
