Statist liberals do not serve in the military, generally speaking. They prefer fedgov PARAmilitary agencies. The rules of engagement are ever so much more fun.
Obama made EVEN MORE "friends" last night when some congresstool trumpeted the idea of a new income tax SURTAX for wage-earner making $30,000 a year or more, to pay for the ramp-up in Afghanistan.
That would be, um, the WORKING POOR, these days.
"I will not raise taxes on the average Amerian," he said. Well, installing NEW taxes isn't "raising" them.
Thought it was hilarious when O talked about rooting out corruption in AFGHANISTAN'S government.
