Great Expectations

Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen said Wednesday he expects lawmakers to once again override his veto of bill to allow handgun carry permit holders to bring weapons into bars and restaurants that serve alcohol. [More]

Ahh.. He just "wants to get on with the business of running the state."

Because it's not the duty of government to defend life, liberty, or property, but to make sure people stay less free.

Thanks for posting this, David. My governor needs to go. He might be angling for some appointed position in the Obama administration. I'll be happy to see Phil gone from Tennessee politics, but hopefully he won't make the cut onto Obama's short list.
