"Letting people record police officers is an extreme and intrusive response to a problem that’s so rare it might as well not exist. It would be like saying we should do away with DNA evidence because there’s a one in a billion chance that it could be wrong. At some point, we have to put some faith and trust in our authority figures." [More]Well, hey, if this flack says they're A-OK, who am I to argue?
I mean, we see how much faith and trust the FOP puts in us...

Please forgive my French, but fuckin-a, Pasco. Where by 'authority figures' we mean each and every sovereign individual alive, who is your goddamn boss.
On the other hand, old buddy, maybe you shouldn't worry so much. I'm sure there's nothing "your people" would do to you that you wouldn't do to them. Not a thing.
(That one's for straightarrow. I miss him already.)

Captcha: "anymo". Not for long if Google gets its way, but there it is anyway.
Public place, public official.
If I see someone harassed for recording a cop, it's possible that we'll all be on the news.
Imagine Solzhynitsyn's Russia if people were able to see the secret police Organ men at work before it was at THEIR own personal door...
He says we can't find ten cases where an officer was caught lying on video. Isn't that what this blog posts? Of course, since anyone making such a video is a felon by his definition, producing such a video makes you a criminal.
I bet we can get ten. Here are three:

The Swine just don't want to be CAUGHT doing what they do. Must be fun, take the citizens money, harrass the citizen, taze the citizen, shoot the citizen, beat the citizen, rape the citizen, ..........
Puts a whole new perspective on why people don't come forward to cooperate with police even after incidents like the little girls being shot in Chicago. Chances are they know someone who's been a po-po plaything. They're seen as just another gang.
The spokesman should have said "We have nothing to hide. Record away." IF they have nothing to hide, as he sys.
