All Aboard the Freedom Train!

Metro randomly inspects bags [More]
So does that mean the left's foremost legal authority was wrong to tell us we could board with our guns to go shoot in Maryland...?

"The person sitting next to you might be a shoebomber."
Then I'd like to be able to f--- him up majorly when he tries to light the fuse, but the government is sort of making that difficult. Is my pocket knife allowed?

May their chains rest lightly. The fear conditioning is working well.

Related story: The Metro system can't even make the doors open on the correct side of the train.

It's the Peace Train, like in the Cat Stevens song. Now he's a Muslim, Yusuf Islam, and we know the Muslim idea of peace. He said in an interview that those who criticize Islam should indeed be killed. You can look it up.

"I've been cryin' lately
thinkin' about the world as it is.
Why must we go on hating?
Why can't we live in bliss?
Peace Train, holy rollin'.
Ride on the Peace Train..."

It's a very old song.

Those quoted "people" in the story have the nerve to call themselves Americans? I don't know what upsets me more; the fact that the thugs are doing it or the fact that most "people" clamor for it.

If I were a terrorist planning to die along with my victims, I and my buddies would simply shoot the people doing these careful searches -- or blow them up with one bomb-in-a-bag -- rush through the station and shoot the driver of a loaded train and commandeer it, then close all the automatic doors to trap everyone and blow it up. Same for a plane or a ferry or a bus.
With our last thought, we'd thank our hosts for all the defenseless fresh meat.
Helplessness is never a good idea. But the object of power is power, and every incident ratchets up the level of oppression people are willing to EMBRACE, so government wins either way.

Well said defender. The people that are supposedly the "best and the brightest" in the national security arena don't seem to think about these things. We must stand against Tyranny before it is too late.
