Otherwise, the other dog's owner may have been armed. And you can get in serious trouble for injuring a police dog.

Love how the PD won't reveal the rules about dog handling until AFTER the investigation. Aren't the dogs,cops,rules,cars,donuts,etc. all paid for by the public they won't let view the "rules"? Nice system they got there, screw up like the bozos they are, then announce no one can see the rules they pay for.
