When We Want the Servants to Speak, We'll Tell Them To

The state's top law enforcement officer said he doesn't oppose a looser requirement for carrying guns, but the state's Sheriffs' Association disagreed. [More]
Time to figure out which sheriffs back that position and modify their career plans...It's hard  for me to imagine anything more "meaningless" than executive director Jeff Moore having any say whatsoever in any of this.

Yes, I was there yesterday morning for the whole show. Reggie Lloyd, the SLED director, did in fact say one of the funniest lines of the day. Something about not only advising citizens to get guns, but in some neighborhoods they ought to have two guns.

The NRA was its usual self, their rep was fat and arrogant. He didn't even know the details of either the bill or the proposed amendment by the strongest self defense rights organization in South Carolina;
