The Larger Danger

We can only say that situations in which "seconds count" occur more in gun advocates' imaginations than in reality. We live in a community that is, by and large, safe and law-abiding, with a populace that is mostly courteous and restrained. The larger danger is from accidental shootings. [More]
Here are the unsolved Winston-Salem homicides.

Neighborhood Scout rates it a "4" out of a possible "100." Your chance of becoming a victim in Winston-Salem is "1 in 109."

Now then: How many "accidental shooting"cases by permit holders--that's who this editorial is aimed at preventing from carrying--can whoever expects us to swallow this unmitigated horsecrap provide documentation for, so we can see for ourselves whether or not he knows what the hell he's talking about--or more likely, is just a shameless and cowardly Fourth Estate Fifth Columnist liar?

That being the norm among "Authorized Journalists" is "the larger danger."

First, I lived in North Carolina for a long time and the above statement is an outright lie.

Second, if it IS true, why would they need a "police FORCE" ? They should be out of a job, correct?

And then there is that 1 time, and that's all it takes.
