We're the Only Ones "A Little Nervous in the Post-9/11 World" Enough

Commenting on the incident, Baltimore County police spokesman Bill Toohey told the Sun: “It’s a sign that we’re all a little nervous in the post-9/11 world.” [More]
Yeah, if highly-trained and competent professional "Only Ones" react this way, you ought to see the hysteria armed and dangerous right-wing extremist hatriot gun nuts would go through if someone presented us with a two-dollar bill!

Yo, Bill: Is defending the indefensible really what you wanted to do with your life when you were young and idealistic? I hope you at least went home and got good and drunk and wept a bit from the guilt and shame of knowing you made such an asinine, ass-covering public statement as a function of your job--at least it would prove you have a conscience.

Except such an absurd and offensive stretch shows you really put some thought into coming up with an excuse that would play to the crowd.  It shows you're seasoned at what you do.

Old story from 2005, but, yeah- a little scrap of paper is so scary! It might destroy our "freedom"!

Nothing like treating everyone as if they were a criminal, for our safety! /s
