You Don't Have to Be a Prophet to Predict Pushback

PAMELA GELLER CALLS OUT COWARDLY CONSERVATIVES, SAYS SHE’LL ORGANIZE ANOTHER FREE SPEECH EVENT IN NEAR FUTURE [More]
Yeah, except lost amidst all the noise is that an event in which the promoters could and should have predicted trouble was done under these prohibitions:
I view that as inexcusably irresponsible on the part of those who knew this would be considered provocation and a dare, and naive (at best) on the part of the attendees. Setting aside debates about the merits of the ceremony, which you inarguably should be able to do, if you're going to hold such a gathering under what you know are elevated threat conditions, you don't do it in a way that limits defensive response options.

I think you must be the only one to have noticed this.

Considering the fact that Gellar is customarily outspoken, she needs to address this.

She should not be promoting a Gun-Free Zone under any circumstances.

Thank you David, I had wondered if the venue was friendly to concealed carriers. Now I need to find out if that was the venue, or if they have the 30.06 sign that has force of law in Texas.

Geller, or whoever she really is, is reportedly demanding federal personal protection. To hell with her, she can pay her own freight. And yes, she surely knew she was booking a 'no self defense' venue, maybe to let something happen?
