Booby Strap

I was expecting blades or something to spring out. [More]

It's not that these don't have a "legitimate thwarting purpose." I'm just leery of one-size-fits-all gimmicks substituting for mindset, awareness, preparation, training, skill and options. In the past we've seen what happens when those take a back (front?) seat to gadgetry.

We've also seen ludicrous proposals that avoid doing everything but what is needed, like shocking panties, and this indispensable accessory for women (and anti-gun males!) on the go. And don't even get me started on Porcupine Girl.

Yes, by all means, this can be a useful accessory in a variety of situations. Just be aware that many locales have "progressive" edicts that favor you getting killed over you being armed, even with a knife or spray.

What these folks really ought to do is reach out to Knife Rights and see what kind of mutual interest synergy can develop.

Great. Another excuse for gun-hating liberal men to become transgender. Just what we need.

I have found that surly feminism is an effective man repellent. Combine that with any of the following, or combination of such: Some tattoos, excessive piercings, and a power chic haircut, and a generally prickly and unpleasant demeanor, and you are totally bombproof girl.

How silly. Rape is a power game, not sexual. I'm sure the rapists would love to overwhel this lady. If she was serious about self defense, she'd use every tool available to her, and train to the max to use them wisely. Since a gun is far and away the most effective tool, that's where she needs to start. And if she can't have a gun where she lives, well... there's a solution to that problem, difficult as it may be.

Her life and her choice, obviously, but stuffing hardware into a bra doesn't even come close for me.
