Man seen on video pushing a young, female referee is a police captain, authorities say [More]Pretty close to the edge there. If he'd lose it and go thug on a teenage girl in front of witnesses, imagine how he's used to behaving when he gets citizens alone. And imagine the tone he sets.
That he made captain speaks volumes.
And the bully's name...?

Looks like a conflict of Authoritah to me.
6th grader hurts his arm.
Here's my best guess as to what's happening:
Ref's POV: I need to decide if the kid can continue, needs to be benched for a while, or needs medical or parental attention.
Dad's POV: my kid's hurt, we're out of here.
Ref's thinking: I'll ask for a parent when and if I decide I need a parent.
Dad: It's my kid, I already decided to take him to urgent care.
So dad goes on court without permission, then just as he reaches his kid the ref blocks him and blows a whistle in his face. He either has to do a very hard stop or run into her. He pushes her out of the way, more roughly than was necessary, and much yelling ensues. Father to be banned from all future games in order to get the point across that the coaches and refs are in charge, and parents should stay out of the way until the officials want them, which seems to be the thinking of everybody involved with the school system these days.
If I were a judge, and somebody wanted to waste my time with this, I'd be pissed.
Test that theory. Push him.
