The article below describes the continuing effort by the European Union to pressure Switzerland to impose strict gun control, and the apparent capitulation of the Swiss Federal Council to that pressure. [More]Mulling national suicide, are we...?

Just trying to get Switzerland to be like the other nations in the eu. Over run by mooslims and other criminals.
Reading this article, it strikes me.
How is it that there are no alliances between American and Swiss weapons rights groups, no American-Swiss associations nor foundations, no annual Swiss-American service rifle competitions, no one to present a unified presence on the right of a country's people to maintain its traditions of personal weapon ownership and the rich environment of skilled shooters that creates to provide for the formation of militias.
This approach to national defense should be championed at the UN and everywhere else as the path toward world peace. Militias make foreign occupation untenable, but are themselves useless for invading anyone else. It is abundantly clear from the debates of their time that the United States' founding fathers understood this, and it should be dragged out at every opportunity.
This is how we will win over people from the warmongering globalist left. Many who went to the left in the past ~60 years did so based on a belief that the left was in favor of demilitarization and nonaggression, ie "world peace". They have been underserved by the neo-lib/establishment left for a long time, and those are happy to hear their senators and representatives (ESPECIALLY their Democratic senators and reps) getting called out for their support of our government's policy of endless war.
Say it again: The militia model of national defense as practiced by Switzerland for hundreds of years is the only working model for world peace. We and the rest of the world should be learning from them.
The Swiss committed Nat. Suicide when they bored tunnels through the Alps that blocked the EU from invading; Also CERN.
Agreed. We should definitely be in alliances
