Next come the "re-education" camps.
Our ideas and beliefs do not matter to the left because our "ideas add little value to [their] discourse,". According to young leftists, "Conservative ideas do not deserve equal consideration to that afforded liberal and left ideas, because conservative ideas are not equal to liberal and left ideas."
There you have it. Our ideas are essentially worthless. By the left's lights, "[a]dvocating ... anything .. the president represents is not productive in a space meant to contribute ideas to the world." Our ideas are inferior, unproductive and plainly unfit to contribute to the world. One wonders how long it will be before, as Roger J wrote above, any who disagree with the left are indeed rounded up and shipped off to camps to be "re-educated".
Damn! I'm glad I'm old. I don't figure on living long enough to be given a train ticket and a place/date/time to report. I do, however, despair for my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They're the ones who will have to suffer being re-educated.
