The police have too much power. They are too heavily armed, and literally get away with murder on a daily basis. Strip them of anything but a .38specl. S&W with 18 rounds and a four shot 12Ga. shotgun available only to supervisors. Officer safety should be dead last. This IMO would stop the modern phenomenon of cops with M-16's shooting up van loads of children, playing sick games of "Simon Says" that end in murder, and hundreds more outright murders done for no better reason than the 20 round mag in the pistol on there hip. The thousands of unarmed citizens murdered every week by the black uniformed triggerhappy "Gunfighter" cops has to stop. Disarming them is a great start.---Ray
