‘Restrictive’ New Zealand Gun Laws Useless at Stopping Mosque Massacres

New Zealand requires criminal and mental health checks with third-party character references. It has licensing and registration “of individual civilians licensed to acquire, possess, sell or transfer a firearm or ammunition.” It has domestic violence prohibitions.  Compare that to the “Universal Background Check” and “Red Flag/ERPO” edicts demanded for the U.S. as “common sense.” Private sales require a license, and “The buyer of a firearm in a private sale in New Zealand is obliged to pass official background checks before taking possession.” [More]
The very measures the gun-grabbers say will "work" here did not work there. Be honest: Who's surprised?

So true, but you can bet that the reaction will be...….more of the same!
Here in the U.S. CA is a perfect example. They have all of these laws that infringe on what "shall not be infringed." But yet some unbalanced person buys a legal gun passes the so-called background check, and shoots up a night club.
Doesn't look like any Red Flag Law worked in that case either. But on the other hand if you let enough mass shootings happen like THEY did in Parkland FL, a perfect example of a tragedy that could have and should have been prevented, eventually you'll get the total disarmament THEY seek.
