A Mess of Pottage Redux

“I was told I would have to choose between cannabis and owning a gun, so I allowed my medical marijuana card to expire to buy the gun.” [More]
Trade that birthright!

For some reason, stories of newbies discovering "gun control" always reminds me of the wannabe gun owners outraged to find there were "legal" barriers in the way when the Rodney King riots broke out, the police were nowhere to be found and Angelenos suddenly realized they and theirs were personally vulnerable.

Based on results, most didn't change their voting patterns.

Somewhere famous author Robert A. Heinlein is chuckling.

“At least once every human should have to run for his life, to teach him that milk does not come from supermarkets, that safety does not come from policemen, that 'news' is not something that happens to other people. He might learn how his ancestors lived and that he himself is no different--in the crunch his life depends on his agility, alertness, and personal resourcefulness.” ― Robert A. Heinlein
