So, back of the envelope math. That’s Not quite 13 per day. The FAA website estimates daily air travel at 2.7 million people. Pew research estimates gun ownership in America at about 30%, so in really (really!) rough numbers that’s 810,000 gun owners. So about 1 in every 62,000 gun owners screws up and leaves a gun in a bag/pocket/suitcase. Could be a lot worse!
Worse is when you "f" up entering Jamaica or Mexico.
