Criminals and guns - yes, Mexican criminals can get guns. So can British hooligans, Japanese yakuza, etc. How many military rifles supplied by the US Government eventually find their way into narcomafia hands? Many thousands of AKs were sold by Soviet soldiers in Eastern Europe in the early '90s to get hard currency to feed their families. Those guns have not evaporated in the last 3 decades, most are still floating around in the European underworld. As Gomer says, "Surprise! Surprise!"
