He's a lawyer -- I wonder if he can cite the clause in the Constitution where the Founders envisioned this as a function of the national government.
This is the kind of flag-waving-for-show that gives fuel to those equating Republicans with fascist police statists. That there are plenty who fall for it works against those who prefer Bill of Rights enforcement overriding law enforcement.
