We're the Only Ones Unannounced Enough

What We Know About the Killing of Breonna Taylor [More]

What an intolerable travesty. In many ways, particularly with the "Vision Russell" aspect, it reminds me of the corrupt execution of Donald Scott. And as always, the ones paying for it -- the tax cows -- are the ones who didn't do anything.

That's why "conservatives" aren't doing themselves any favors with mindless "Back the Blue" pandering. They wouldn't be called "Only Ones" if they weren't immune from much of what they'd kill us for.

If occasional "no-knock" raids help facilitate officer safety, blatant abuse of it is what brought votes to ban the practice about.

UPDATE: Well, this certainly puts a counterpoint to what the "news" has been telling us and gives what appears to be credible information to warrant rethinking some assumptions:

As for 'Law & Order' GOPers -- well ....

So...

The fact that she was a bag-lady (holder of cash) for her ex-boyfriend who was a drug dealer, had participated in conspiracy to murder a person, was known to allow her ex to stay at her apartment and hold both cash and drugs for him, and the address was one of four connected to search warrants on her ex-boyfriend, had, apparently, nothing to do with the cops showing up at her doorstep.

Nahhhhhh.

And then, well, when the now-current boyfriend, who knew she was still involved drug-wise with her ex-boyfriend, fires and hits a cop, and the cops fire back...

Nahhhh....

No. It wasn't a good situation. No-Knock warrants are very controversial for just this type of situation.

But to paint Ms. Taylor as an innocent victim in all of this drama is... stupid.

It's right up there with painting Floyd as totally innocent, even though he'd overdosed by swallowing all of his stash after he committed a felony fraud, and then dies after resisting the cops, and everyone freaks because the one cop used a known less-than-lethal hold that had been in use since the late 60's (you can see it on Adam-12 episodes, by the way.) And that's not even considering Floyd's career of violently resisting arrest. Or his overdose almost-death, from swallowing all of his stash during an arrest, where officers fought to keep him alive.

Ya know? I really don't have any sympathy for Ms. Taylor, for Floyd, for that dirtbag in Atlanta, for all the recent shootings of dirtbags that everyone seems to think are 'just turning their life around and being good boys and girls' and yada yada.

Please.

From all the info that's come out after from the agency and from others, Ms. Taylor was actively engaged in felony criminal behavior and got caught up in it.

It sucks.

And doesn't warrant a $12 million settlement. Should be lucky for the agencies to pay for her funeral.

Frank, it looks like my comment was entered at the same time as yours, so mine was to Beans, not you. I'll look at the vid later today.
