Swap steps #1 and #2. If you resize dirty brass first, then put it in a case cleaner loaded with corn cob or walnut shell media, you will be sad.

First, any grit on the dirty cases will scratch your dies. Scratched dies will scratch cases.

Second, particles of media will tend to get stuck in the flash holes and need to be removed. If you enjoy inspecting cases and using a toothpick to clear the flash holes, you're good to go. Otherwise, get ready for misfires.

So clean the cases first thereby removing the grit before mucking up a sizer die. Then let the decapping pin push any particles wedged in the flash hole as it pops the old primer out.

Ask me how I know.

P.S. Separate range scrap brass by caliber BEFORE putting them in a vibratory or tumbler case cleaner. There's nothing quite like a 9mm case stuck inside a 10mm case, stuck inside a .45 ACP case all wedged together with cleaning media. Five or six of those will truly make your day.

...and good luck finding bullets and/or primers right now...
