I'm sure the leftists will happily give these losers/spoilers all the publicity they want, at least until they're no longer useful.
Kind of like the way they treated the Lincoln Project.

This could actually be, on balance, a good thing. If there's going to be a split in the GOP, something that has tongues wagging but no real actions so far, it would be better for Trump supporters for the anti-Trump people to split off and become "the third party" rather than have the Trump supporters split off and do likewise.
Whichever side makes the move first leaves the other in control of a lot of party apparatus and name recognition along with an unknown number of voters who won't bother to switch their party affiliation.
There's also a history of third parties being viewed as a kook fringe that the new group will have to overcome.
