There does seem to be an oversight, though, and it’s unclear if it’s intentional: Suppose “New York’s finest” again mistake a suspect’s identity and shoot another unarmed black man, like they did Amadou Diallo. Should the gun manufacturer be sued? For that matter, what about the broom manufacturer in the Abner Louima “incident”? [More]
So when are the gun and ammo suppliers going to tell New York citizen disarmament enforcers to go to hell?

How about the "uniform" who was sent as backup for an undercover cop in foot pursuit of a suspect. He arrived on scene and shot a running, armed black man dead, only to find out that that he had shot the undercover cop he was supposed to be assisting.
Which gun manufacturer was culpable for that one?
