Voter Malpractice

The bill passed the Senate on Aug. 18 along party lines, 27-20, with all Republicans for and all Democrats against. Republicans have argued in favor of the bill, repeatedly noting the law’s origin in the Jim Crow South and efforts to keep guns away from Black North Carolinians. [More]

So naturally:

Black voters are significantly more likely to register as a Democrat (79%) compared to other groups

Never let reality get in the way of a planted preconception...?

I had a friend, now sadly passed on, who was a wheeler-dealer in Charlotte, where I grew up. He sold everything, cameras, wristwatches, cars, TVs, and a gun or two. Once I asked him about going downtown to the Sheriff's office for a NC purchase permit. He replied, "We don't bother with that! Me and my friends just trade among ourselves." This was about 50 years ago. That law has been "honoured in the breach" for as long as it has been around.
