We have a bridge up the road built at great taxpayer expense and named for a girl killed in a similar crash. And that reminds me of putting fences on bridges so people don't jump from them, especially when there is no shortage of alternative launching pads around.
There's an analogy about the state of our society and all-controlling government "solutions" imposed on everyone in response to poor/deranged/evil individual choices in here somewhere.
