California Dreaming

Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday signed six gun-control bills into law, including a requirement that ammunition purchasers undergo background checks. [More]
Now take a look at the "fundamental transformation" that has taken place with the majority electorate, ensuring Democrats have free rein and free reign.

Guess what's being set up to happen in the rest of the Republic?

Thank goodness that has nothing to do with that "single issue," right, NRA?  Right, SAF/CCRKBA? Right, Grover and Ted? Right, deliberately indifferent and/or disparaging of the concept "gunbloggers"?

I know, nobody wants to hear it. We've seen that before:

In the Navy

“And, for those bases, for Navy bases particularly, it’s a really real risk,” Whitehouse said. “They’re on the sea. Sea level rise is going to swamp what they do. It’s really practical. So, when people hear it from as trusted a source as a uniformed military officer it will make a big difference, and they have not been very forward about it from the uniform side of the military. DOD has been good. Mabus has been the best.” [More]
Interesting coincidence.

This will fit in swell with some older traditions...

Impending House Gun Votes are Deplorable Concessions by Republicans to Gun-grabbers

Find the turkey...
Define “due process.” Is it being charged, tried in accordance with laws respecting rights, and found guilty before being denied a fundamental right? Or is it some law enforcement careerist using a secret list of undetermined sources and reliability convincing a judge or panel of unknown political sympathies that some tenuous “probable cause” alibi exists? The Gift That Keeps on Giving?

One of the guns used in the November 13, 2015 Paris terrorist attacks came from Phoenix, Arizona where the Obama administration allowed criminals to buy thousands of weapons illegally in a deadly and futile “gun-walking” operation known as “Fast and Furious.” ... ATF leaders went out of their way to keep the information under the radar and ensure that the gun owner’s identity was “kept quiet,” according to law enforcement sources involved with the case. “Agents were told, in the process of taking the fully auto, not to anger the seller to prevent him from going public,” a veteran law enforcement official told Judicial Watch. [More]
I wonder why. I wonder if it's connected to Gunwalker. And I wonder if the Republican majority Congress is going to continue accepting stonewalling so that "independents" have to do all the uncovering.

That's an improvement.

I hate to be the fly in the ointment (not really, someone's got to be) but what does this do for people who don't believe anyone has authority to dispense "permission" to exercise a right?  Not that they're likely to let a sign deter them, but it does pretty much guarantee they won't be saving others or sticking around afterward to make a report...

We don't need ANY new "gun control." If there are terrorists in this country, look at how they got here and are still getting in here.

That, of course, would require taking Islamophile/Bloomberg immigration pal Grover Norquist to task, and the new JPFO head honcho, along with the "it's not the single issue" faction has no interest in admitting that -- for transparent reasons that do nothing to refute the "pathway to citizenship" threat argument.

I don't believe it. Especially not after Brexit.

Hey, aren't I the guy who cites polls to make my case on "pathway to citizenship" cultural terraforming?  What gives?

I also note media pushing this, including Faux News, a.k.a. the Murdoch Family Trust, is all out for more "legal" immigration and amnesty for the illegals.

I see this as an attempt to inject an unelectabilty / foregone defeatist conclusion into any who would oppose Hillary, primarily to dampen enthusiasm, derail momentum and discourage turnout.  And the not-so-silent partners in this are the establishment Republicans, desperate to regain control from the rebels, and viewing helping with their rout and blaming their rebellion against "experienced counsel" as the best way to drive them humbled back into the fold.

Hawaii’s Gun Owner Registration Reporting Edict Fundamental to Enabling Confiscation

Gun owners basically have two options when confronted with such edicts: Capitulate and surrender, or become part of the “I will not comply” paradigm and be destroyed if caught (raising a third option for those who will not accept that outcome). [More]

The Trojan Horse Argument

If you're a Nevada gun owner and you're not part of this fight, you're a parasite. If you're on Bloomberg's side, you're an @$$hole parasite.

That's not ad hominem. It simply is what is.

He's got an "A' from GOA and an "A+" from Numbers USA.

I think he's as good a choice as can be expected. That said, I'd be remiss not to include some reminders from Mike on why even the "best" in that pool need to be watched and occasionally have to be warned about expected conduct.

But then, that applies to any politician.

And they, of course, get to be the arbiters of what's "extreme."

We saw two examples hitting close to home, this and this, just in the past few days.

I guess "progressives" are all for enforcing anti-trust edicts unless they're the ones benefiting from the collusion.

I've come to the conclusion that, status as a "conservative" thought leader notwithstanding, Peabody's boy Sherman here really is a dolt. And one whose usefulness at helping establishment media pretend it presents "opposing views" is self-destructing...

Flight Reaction

Under the Obama administration’s expansive interpretation of executive authority,  legal immigrants seeking citizenship through the nation’s Naturalization process are now exempt from a key part of the Oath of Allegiance. Immigrants seeking to become citizens no longer have to pledge to “bear arms on behalf of the United States.” They can opt out of that part of the Oath. Nor do they have to cite any specific religious belief that forbids them to perform military service.  [More]

You CAN Still Make a Difference

You have shown the power of a grassroots organization.  As you know there are a number of attacks on your rights that are "in-play" now and coming in the next Florida legislative session.  We will need your more than ever in coming months.  STAND READY to defend our rights! [More]

Are you a member of Florida Carry?

Yeah, I know, "Molon labe."

Hey, they just proved less destructive change still is possible if enough people band together and actually do something beyond anonymous comment bravado that costs nothing. Besides, why would anybody expect someone who won't even lift a finger to do the easy stuff now to answer the call for untold, extended and horror-filled risks, hardships and sacrifices?
