We're the Only Ones Unidentified Enough

Heilman’s friends, who had been in the car with him, said there was a fight and Heilman was winning, but he was backing away when Waldron pulled his gun. They said no one knew Waldron was a Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Department investigator working undercover. They said Waldron didn’t identify himself until after he shot. [More]
I don't know why the debate on charges. Sounds like it's all within acceptable "Only Ones" protocol to me...

Some times, no more rebuttal is needed than this: Bite me, Bill Mann. Useful idiot punk.

Figures he posts at a site called dcweasels.

Looks like some of the HuffPo comment posters aren't buying his line of subversive crap either.

Good. Maybe he'll cry.

Blaming the Gun

Oh, if only he hadn't had a gun that can kill! [More]

Translation: Oh, if only you didn't have any guns!

Never missing an opportunity to dance in fresh blood, I see the Bradys are dusting off their old lies. The antis have been after the FN for some time, and the "Authorized Journalists" are either pleased to accommodate, or too ignorant to know how uninformed they are and too lazy to rectify that. I even saw on Faux News a couple days back they referred to it as 5.7 caliber, and I was wondering how much a round would weigh...

No Questions Asked

Police were not expecting the grenade and because officers had promised "no questions asked," no one was charged.

Police asked residents in the future to call ahead if they have any unusual items such as hand grenades or mortars.

So in other words, these stupid gun "buybacks" actually endanger the public rather than make us safer? Of course, the same holds true for expecting people who have not had firearms training to pick up, transport and deliver guns safely. Encouraging that--without question--is tremendously dangerous and irresponsible. This, to me, is an argument we need to use more to monkeywrench these un-American little gatherings.

I also can't help but wonder how many guns were transported in an illegal manner, and whether the "no questions asked" pledge would apply if they got pulled over and had their cars searched while en route to the turn-in?

And how can local police commit that federal law won't be enforced?

Will House Health Care Bill Create New Class of 'Prohibited Persons'?

"JCT Confirms Failure to Comply with Democrats’ Mandate Can Lead to 5 Years in Jail...Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.”

If that's true, we need to look at U.S. Code, TITLE 18, PART I, CHAPTER 44, § 922, where we find:

"(g) It shall be unlawful for any person—
(1) who has been convicted in any court of, a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year...to...possess in or affecting commerce, any firearm or ammunition; or to receive any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce." [More]

Blitzing Wolf

And they must say, that was a very soft target. You wonder if the shooter did not choose that place in part because it was a place for so many people in it. And so many people without weapons. [More]
Yeah, you wonder.

I saw this the other day on CNN's "Situation Room" and haven't seen the video posted, but did find the transcript.

OH AG Candidate Dave Yost Answers Gun Rights Questionnaire

Before commenting begins, I want to throw something into the mix for your consideration: The other Republican contender, Mike DeWine, might as well be on the Brady Campaign payroll. I can think of no stronger message to send the Republican establishment than to let them know anti-gunners will no longer be tolerated, so they'd better stop offering them. [More]
This is today's second Gun Rights Examiner column, written as a follow-up to my earlier offering.

The guy did not do badly--I know some will argue over "weapons under disability" (I argue against that all the time myself), but it's amazing to me he came up with so much I agree with him on--and then factor in the RINO subversive running against him.

I'm also amazed at how many politicians running for significant offices are responding to this questionnaire. I've been doing it for years from this blog--I guess being able to run it on Examiner.com has made a difference.

This, to me, is a perfect opportunity for political CUM ULLA SELLA IN PUGNO TABERNA, and in this case, we've got a pretty nice chair

More Gun Rights Questions for Ohio AG Cordray

How hard could it be for the state's top law enforcement officer, the AG, to write a memorandum recognizing the legality of peaceable open carrying, and send it to every police and sheriff's department in the state, as well as to the Highway Patrol? One would assume flow-down communications explaining his interpretations and positions on law enforcement issues are already established and routine.

And how hard would it be for the individual LE departments to transmit this information to their sworn personnel? Again, one would assume they all receive policy training as a condition of employment. If you're already having them sign acknowledgments such as they understand sexual harassment rules, etc., and placing that in their personnel files, how much more effort would be required to have each officer sign and date a simple acknowledgment that he or she understands open carry is lawful? [More]

The approaching season and the scanty Supplies of Cloathing in public store, have induced me to send Lt. Colo. Pope to procure, if possible, a suitable Quantity for the Troops of your State. The distress of the Army in this instance, is great, and will daily increase, if some relief is not obtained. I do not know, whether your State may have turned its attention to this Object, or what provision it may have made. If it has and there are Supplies on hand, it will be a happy circumstance: but if not, I must intreat the earliest interposition of your aid, that a sufficient collection may be made. [More]

From various accounts, I am convinced that the Enemy are upon the point of making a grand effort upon Fort Mifflin, a person in confidence of one of their principal artificers, thinks it will be to day or to morrow. No time is therefore to be lost in making that Garrison as respectable as your numbers will admit, for should the attack commence before they are reinforced, it may probably be out of your power to throw them in. I think you had for the present better draw all the Continental Troops into or near Forts Mercer and Mifflin, and let what Militia are collected lay without, for I am of opinion that they will rather dismay than assist the Continental Troops, if shut up in the Forts.
