We're the Only Ones Hot Dogging it Enough

A Chandler police dog that died after his handler left him unattended in a hot patrol car was in the vehicle more than 12 hours before being discovered...

Lovejoy, a 15-year veteran, was not put on leave and returned to work Monday...

In March, a Phoenix police dog was rushed to a veterinarian after being left in an unmarked police vehicle without ventilation.

One would think the Arizona statutes are pretty doggone clear.

Funny, not only would someone probably be fined or serve time for animal cruelty, but if you kill a police dog, it's like killing a cop. Must be nice to be an "only one"

Yeah, but the Arizona Statutes refer to a "Person" not an "Only One."

But don't fret - the Chandler PD is investigating, and will likely find that no crime was committed...

Well, it is CHandler. Wasn't that where the PD burned down an elderly couple's house by tossing a flash-bang onto a bed on a no-knock warrant? I think there was more to it, like they were at the wrong address or something similiar.
