So, Laura Washington, are you implying that certain demographics can't handle the responsibilities of free people? And so the rest of us who do conduct ourselves peaceably must be blamed and have our freedom restricted because you don't trust them?
By the way--nice leadership the black media elites are providing. What does it say about what you must think of your audience, that you feel compelled to reach them in such a manner?

Ms. Washington seems to think that defending and living with our constitution is an evil thing.
There is an oath that elected officials take to defend the Constitution of These United States
Simply put, Mayor Daly is a traitor.
If they are not behaving like citizens, perhaps it has something to do with shoving all the blacks into government housing from the 40s to the late 60s. And then keeping them there through "incentives".
The social engineers are making themselves the custodians of people who should be free by birthright, then they're complaining that the job is too hard. (Forgetting, of course, that the job is unnecessary.)

My belief is that one of the primary reasons for the drop in crime since the mid-1990s may be that so many of the violent inhabitants of these lawless neighborhoods are dead.
Just to cover my ass, I'm not implying that "black = criminal", but many blacks happen to be stranded in these "urban renewal" areas, where the crime rates are much higher than those in other parts of the country.
