child proof lock on the gun safe = funny, but pay attention to the part of the article that says the store employees were able to get an over ride code from the manufacturer! I certainly don't want to buy a safe that has a universal override code available for it. Just one more reason for an old fashioned dial safe.
Not to worry. I'm sure an army of lawyers will propose a law that requires all safes to have an inside release mechanism. We've changed such things before on a national level, based on a single incident, and at the cost of hundreds of millions of dollars.
Why was the kid standing inside a gun safe?
