CUM ULLA SELLA IN PUGNO TABERNA*

We've talked about this obnoxious, abrasive, unfunny and contemptible POS punk before:
Dear Revs. Jackson and Sharpton:

I am outraged by Comedy Central allowing Lewis Black to exploit the images of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X in their "Root of All Evil" program. To use their heads as shooting gallery targets, along with John and Bobby Kennedy, goes beyond poor taste. This is simply more of corporate America exploiting the very real pain and tragedy by laughing at martyrs who gave their lives in the struggle for racial justice and equality. There is no place among decent human beings for making a profit by making jokes out of the tragic and violent way these men died.

See the clip I'm referring to here:
http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/root_of_all_evil/index.jhtml
It is titled "Preview: NRA Vs. PETA - The Case."

It's their right to make fun of the NRA, but if they're going to do it in such a way as this, it is our right to protest. I call on you to use your leadership to make those responsible realize the deep offensiveness of their actions. I'm sure you both realize the real pain surviving family members and devoted followers must feel to see the deaths of these historic men reduced to props for a cheap laugh.

Sincerely,
David Codrea

Exceedingly bad taste, and I didn't even care for any of the targeted heads. Black says " misreading one line in the whole Constitution". Guess he doesn't know which line, or much about the rest of it either. Asswipes like him are why we got a 5-4 decision with Heller. He also says "4 million of these guys have 280 million guns". Gotta go check my gun locker(s), and get a head count. I don't belong to the NRA because my head works, but I thought I counted.....

Yep, I bet Jesse is drying his tears with the bloody shirt!

I agree with the Nuge...we need the NRA to have 10 million members...I think the addition of 6 million hard core gunners would straighten out the NRA.

Don't forget that you can see Lewis Black hustling for the Brady Campaign here...

I'd like Helmke to come out and denounce this behavior.

Yes, the link for my previous Lewis Black post was about that video.

I don't necessarily want to see Helmke denounce it--at least not until we do what we can to spread far and wide that BRADY ALLY EXPLOITS DEATHS OF DR. KING, MALCOLM X, FOR LAUGHS AND $$$...

If Black thinks the NRA is the big threat to gun-free socialism, then he is indeed clueless.
The ammunition I can buy or build with that $35 membership fee will be much more effective at protecting my gun rights than the compromisers at the Palace.
Go ahead, Lewis, you pseudointellectual, keep attacking the paper tiger while the real one watches, amused.

A man named Giesel has been arrested for threatening to assassinate Obama and Bush. With the country the way it is, it's not necessary to actually DO it to get new gun control passed.
He had guns, ammunition and military gear. Ahem. Expect to hear more about him.

Yeah, if the NRA fought to repeal unconstitutional gun laws, their membership might grow.

They'd also have to trim back a lot of those overpaid salary's, and other frivolous expenditures too.

I'd also like to see them offer financial support to those being political persecuted for exercising their G-d given rights.

I know, hell will freeze over first.

David, finally something I disagree with you about. I do not believe the enemy of my enemy is my friend. In this case, you going to those two dispicable, anti - gun extortionists, Jackson and Sharpton.

David Codrea said...

They're not our friends, Bill--they're our bitter enemies.

Ain't nothing wrong with starting something among them and watching them tear one of their own to pieces.

I understand your motivations David, I just could never bring myself to ask Jesse or Al for anything, i would rather die first.

But, you did so I didn't even have to think about it. I'll just sit back and enjoy the show.

Well Bill, what it will do is further expose their hypocrisy and sociopathy when they do not condemn this obscenity.

I think it entirely appropriate to challenge them to consistency in claims of humanity and equality.

For example, has anyone heard any denouncement of the racist punks who happened to be black that attacked two formerly active Marines when they tried to stop an assault on a young woman?

No? Well, we don't really expect the mainstream media to call them on it, therefore we must. Everytime, as widely as possible. In order to trim away their followers who happen to be people of good conscience it is necessary to expose these two as charlatans. Which means it is necessary to be able to prove they were aware of the situation because we told them and challenged them to action.

I have no doubt there are many followers of these two who are people of good conscience, but sadly are ill-informed about the true characters of those they support simply because they are lauded in the media and anointed by them as "civil rights leaders". Which, of course, is poppycock, because true civil rights leaders work for the rights of all. They don't just pander to the fringe haters.

All this to say, David probably doesn't believe they are friends just because King and X were black, but rather has endeavored to expose them as the charlatans they are.
